📖 TRUTH OVER TRENDS

This Tuesday: Catholicism

Our Truth Over Trends Bible Study series continues this week!

Join us as we take a closer look at Catholicism, examining its beliefs and practices through the lens of Scripture.

📅 Tuesday, August 18
⏰ 7:30 PM

Come ready to learn, ask questions, and grow deeper in your understanding of God's Word.

Truth doesn't change with trends.

📖 SUNDAY'S MESSAGE

It’s About To Turn

This Sunday, we were reminded that when your natural supply runs dry and you hit a season of shortage, it is not a sign of failure but the exact setup for the King to step in and reveal His authority. If you will stand firm in the "not yet" season and radically obey His instructions, you will discover that Jesus takes your empty places and always saves the best for last.

As we move through August: The Month of New, let's take what we heard on Sunday beyond the church walls and put God's Word into action throughout the week.

🎥 Watch Sunday's Message

Take some time this week to revisit the message, share it with someone.

This Week's Message "Don’t Drink the Water!" Bishop Johnny R. Withers, Jr. When the pressure of life hits, human nature instinctively craves the comfort of the familiar, just as David craved the water from Bethlehem. However, God challenges us to stop casually consuming our blessings and instead recognize the heavy sacrifice attached to them. True devotion means taking the very thing you desire most and pouring it out as an offering to the King, trusting Him to be the only source that can truly satisfy your soul. This Week's Message "It Doesn’t Have to Make Sense: When God’s Plan Challenges Your Faith" Bishop Johnny R. Withers, Jr. Faith often requires us to obey God's voice even when His instructions defy human logic. From a dried-up brook to an empty jar of flour, God frequently uses unlikely, uncomfortable methods to position us for supernatural provision. Ultimately, we must learn to trust the King’s authority over our lives, knowing that His direction may not make sense to our minds, but it will always secure our destiny.Click here to join the daily devotional this week Watch the full message replay here: Giving Your generosity makes our work in this city possible. Just as the river flowing from the temple transformed even the Dead Sea, the church is called to be a living stream that reaches hurting people and brings hope wherever it flows. Withers, Jr. | Luke 14:15-24 In the parable of the great supper, Jesus reveals that rejection doesn't always look like loud rebellion; it usually looks like letting the temporary distractions of life become permanent excuses. But instead of canceling the feast, the King simply extends His invitation to the broken, proving that He has already prepared a table for anyone hungry enough to step into His provision. There’s still more movement ahead! We are a movement, not a moment. Go move the world! This Week's Message "Better is Waiting" "Better is Waiting" is a transformational look at Job 42 that reveals the internal shift required before you can step into God's double portion. To reach your restoration, you have to surrender your demand for an explanation, trust God's absolute sovereignty, and humble your heart. The absolute turning point of the message hinges on forgiveness, proving that you cannot get to better as long as you stay bitter. When you make the hard decision to pray for the very people who misunderstood and accused you, you ensure that your history does not abort your destiny. Ultimately, it is a prophetic reminder that if you do the work to heal on the inside, God is faithful to turn your situation around on the outside, proving that your wait was not a punishment - it was preparation for the better that is waiting on you. Welcome to the weekly move 👋 This is your one-stop spot for everything happening in our church family. From kids to adults to special events, here's how you can get connected over the next seven days. Blessed to Be a Blessing What a powerful Sunday at Unity Church! Our Back-to-School Outreach was an incredible opportunity to serve our community, and we are grateful to God for allowing us to bless over 100 children with school supplies as they prepare for a new school year. 🎒❤️ Thank you to everyone who donated supplies, volunteered, served, and helped make this outreach possible. Your generosity helped turn school supplies into an expression of God's love. But the blessing didn't stop with the backpacks. 🙏 A Special Prayer for the School Year Bishop Withers prayed a special prayer over the children, students, adults returning to school, and their parents as they enter a new school year. We believe God is going before every student, teacher, administrator, parent, and family represented in our church and community. As a new school year begins, we're praying for: Wisdom. Protection. Confidence. Favor. Peace. Success. And most importantly, that every person would know that God is with them every step of the way. 📖 THIS WEEK'S MOVE Truth Over Trends Series Tuesday at 7:30 PM Bishop Withers continues our Truth Over Trends Bible Study series this Tuesday at 7:30 PM! Join us as we continue growing in God's Word and learning how to stand firmly on biblical truth in a world that is constantly changing. ✨ The Month of New Continues August is giving us new opportunities to: Grow. Connect. Serve. Give. From blessing students in our community to building stronger relationships through fellowship, there are so many ways to be part of what God is doing. Let's continue to move together, grow together, and make an impact together. This Week's Message "Turn Me Over!" Bishop Johnny R. Withers, Jr. There is a danger in living a half-baked life. In Hosea 7:8, God describes Ephraim as a "cake not turned"—burnt on one side and raw on the other. How does that happen? It is the result of an unattended oven. When we let our ambitions, flesh, and drives burn without discipline, we end up mixed with the world and spiritually out of balance. Unsupervised heat doesn’t cook; it consumes. But there is incredible hope tucked inside this text. God didn't call Ephraim unturned dough; He called him a cake. Even in our deep imperfection, God sees us as a finished work. He didn't start you to finish you; He finished you, then He started you. And He refuses to throw you away. If you know you need God to bring discipline and balance back to your life, watch this powerful message and learn to pray: Lord, turn me over! Watch last week’s sermon 👇 A Prayer for Supervised Heat Father, thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You for being a covenant God. I confess that there are days I act like dough, but You still call me cake. You see the finished work in me even when my life feels completely out of balance. Lord, forgive me for living with unsupervised heat. Forgive me for letting my ambitions, my passions, and my flesh burn out of control. I admit that I have mixed myself with the world. I have engaged in things that made me lose my spiritual distinction. Because of my lack of discipline, I have looked like a cake not turned—burnt out and exhausted on one side, and completely raw on the other. But I am so grateful that You didn't throw me away. You knew how I would fail, when I would fail, and why I would fail, and You stayed committed to Your word concerning my life anyway. Today, I surrender my independence to You. Lord, turn me over. Discipline my flesh. Tame my drives. Make me even all the way through so that Your will can be perfected in my life. I trust the truth that You didn't start me to finish me; You finished me, then You started me. I have all the ingredients I need because You placed them inside of me. Keep me in Your kitchen. Don't abandon the work of Your hands. I pray this resting on Jesus, the true Bread of Life. In Jesus' name, Amen. Giving Your generosity makes our work in this city possible. We’re so grateful for you. New to our community? No pressure.
